pronto pizza

.......local time : 28 june, 11:26am.......dare to eat here in NY city?
had dinner here last night. this pizza place along 34th St, hidden in a corner.
2 slices, a cheese pizza and a sauage pizza....yummy!
ever drink beer from a coke paper cup? yeah, it taste great! yes, i drank beer....not supposed to, but i did. usually just one during dinner. been doing most things alone, no choice cuz i chosed to travel alone this time. sometimes ok, sometimes bad. went for a walk at central park yesterday afternoon. wasnt really a good stroll cuz it brought some memories and i felt sad. looking at people rolling boat in the lake, my eyes were wet.

yep, looks like the weather is getting better. enough of gloomy wet weather over the weekend. hmmmm, maybe a singaporean brought the rain to NY....yikes! rain or shine, i walk the streets of NY city, enjoying every minutes, every seconds of it.

dyke march

enjoy......the New York City Dyke March, a protest march, not a parade.

we make a lot of noise and we are visible! signs, banners, drums, flags, me there!
it rained whole day. enjoyed myself very much, needless to say, looking at girls! hahahaaa! the march started around 5:10pm from Bryant Park, all the way down to Washington Sq Park. 2 hours of walking. the rain came and gone, many times. some got brollies, some didnt. they were wet, then dry, then wet again, then dry.

my elder bro!

spent a day with my elder bro yesterday. first time in my life, 2 of us, me and him only, in a foreign land. happened that he got flight to NY, and i'm here for Pride. met up with him at the hotel after my trip to g-star. anyway back to my bro. went up to his room, watched a bit of world cup. japan scored the first goal at 33mins, but happiness wasnt long. brazil scored more after that. i cant stay in his room for long cuz he smoked inside, yikes! he saw what i bought and we started talking about g-star. i brought him there and he bought 6 pair of bottoms and a capris for girlfriend. he gave me a shock. never know bro can shop this much, worst than me...hahaa! he's happy, i'm happy too. babe and mr vain have board games at home. bro bought a few at toysRus. the spongebob edition monopoly, scrabble, LIFE game and 6 steps magic. couples have board games at home.
we had japanese food for dinner. the american portion but truly japanese favour. a day with elder bro, i came to know the other side of him. never know he shops this much, never know he's a sweet loving boyfriend, never know he actually cares and worries about his sister. i know now.

it's like a big 'chinese'town, consists of a little korea, a little hong kong, a little taiwan, a little china...with lots of yellow skin people in it. amazing and very interesting. this moment u feel u are in korea, few streets down, u are in hong kong. no worries about food at all. i'm gonna go around exploring those food stalls along the streets cuz they look interesting enough to taste yummy! had chinese food for dinner cuz too much western stuffs earlier on during the 19 hours flight. yes, no surpise that the portion is huge, to me. hahhaa....the amount of rice they gave me was enough to last me 3 meals.

it wasnt a good idea to take back things after u broke up, i guess. retribution, i believe. the digi camera she returned to me was spoilt. partly my fault too cuz i didnt test it first before coming here. sigh...that's why no pixs to upload now. feeling really sad, but thank god i still have my film camera to play with. i guess the camera len is damage. confirmed, my relationship died, so is the camera. coffee and hotdog bread for breakfast. i have to say the bread is awesome. the texture of the bread is soft and chewy, and crispy too after toasted. yummy yummy! i love bread.

at changi airport T1. early in the morning already seen ppl, local singaporean complaining at the security point before entering into the check-in counter. well, never start your day complaining, it's bad for health, and u get older faster! as u can see, my start is at least better than those just now. i'm happily having kohe and sandwich now....yuumy! parents sent me to airport, but i didnt get to have breakfast with them. nothing much out there to eat at this kind of hour. i felt bad for waking them up so early in the morning or rather so late at night, sent me to airport and then i didnt even have a proper breakfast with them. ok....so my start of the day should be better. anyway, i had dinner with them last night. nice hawker 'zhi char'. for the next 2 weeks, i'll miss them, the 'zhi char', i mean...ha! no matter how many times i travel alone, my folks are always worrying about me, a little girl out in a foreign country. in every parents' eyes, a daughter will always be a little girl. guess i'll never be able to understand that.

cant sleep but very tired....still very much awake, wonder why? just finished packing my bag, hope i had everything needed inside. hmmm, i'm kinda paranoid cuz this is the first time my luggage feels so light. guess i'm used to extremely heavy luggage due to camera equipments packed for overseas work trips. this time away is not for work, it's for the heart, the mind, the soul and the self. a friend of mine wished me, 'a safe flight. enjoy my holiday! be good and take care! hope i come back and will be a brand new person and start new....'
think i better go sleep now....zzzzz....zzzzz....zzz....

alone...

on a road less traveled, not anymore. all these while i thought i can do it alone, i cant. all these while i thought i'm tough, i'm not. all these while i thought i'll get over it in no time, i didnt. some days better, some day worst, some days dont know what the hell i'm doing. some moments my thoughts are clear, other moments my thoughts run so wild that i have no way of getting them back in place. i'm really really very tired. wish i can look back and laugh, look ahead and smile, do what i have to do : snap back and move forward!
my first no beer '谈心' session, i was nervous. i felt a little bit awkward at first but somehow it turned out great, for me and for us. i took the first step tonight. i'm not alone anymore, i wont be alone anymore....on a road less traveled....

we dont know what we want until we get what we dont want. yes...many times. it's a challenge for me, to make a commitment to see the truth as clearly as it can be seen and make no more excuses for myself.

my colleague is in love...the one who went with me to the indonesia earthquake. not on purpose, but overheard her talking over the hp the other night. so sweet!

a helping hand...

it meant a lot to them. living far away from the city, and way in the rural area up the mountain, the grand fathers and mothers probably have never been treated by a doctor most of their lifes. they were happy to see the helping hand. they walked miles under the blazing sun just to seek medical help and some even have difficulty walking. in showing their appreciation, the team were treated to fresh coconut drinks. it's nice....
if life can be so simple and full of laughter.

yes, another choice for everybody. wahhhh....so nice, everybody will be reading/flipping newspapers on train, free newspapers!! from tomorrow onwards, the frequency of train must increase. a person reading papers will take up slightly more space than a person who is just standing inside the train. 我报，today, 我报，today....train will end up carrying less people if more people reading newspapers.
